UnicView RD Overview
UnicView RD is a configuring, testing and debugging software tool, intended for use with compatible LCMs running the RD (Real Design) firmware. It serves as a learning and testing tool, for developers to understand how RD LCMs work, as RD LCMs are mostly commanded by a external controller (MCU, PC, etc). It also provides several configuration functionalities for the LCMs.
The typical application scenario for RD LCMs is on systems that need an GUI with high flexibility, and where the external controller must have access to more low-level graphical control over what (and how) is displayed to the user. Albeit it requires more knowledge and a little more time to get used to (and an external controller to control it), RD firmware provides greater technical freedom than simpler GUI solutions like UnicView AD.
